DAY 1 • Lisbon
Arrival at Lisbon airport and private transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Accommodation in Lisbon.
DAY 2 • Lisbon • Tomar • Alcobaça • Batalha • Fátima • 245 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by bus to Tomar, a city whose development is closely interlinked with the Knights of the Templar and visit the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will then visit Alcobaça, with the first and largest Gothic church in Portugal. Continue to Batalha for a visit of the Monastery of Santa Maria da Victoria, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Next proceed to Fatima, home to the renowned Marian Shrine. Accommodation in Fatima.
DAY 3 • Fatima • Coimbra • Porto • 208 km
Breakfast at the hotel then depart to Coimbra. You will visit its university, one of the oldest in the world, followed by a stop at St. Clara Church where the tomb of Queen St. Isabel lies. In the city center, you can admire the famous ceramics of Coimbra. Free time for lunch. Continue to the vibrant city of Porto. Wander its lively streets, admire the Ribeira district along the Douro River, and immerse yourself in its rich heritage and famous Port wine. Accommodation in Porto.
DAY 4 • Porto • Guimarães • Braga • Porto • 138 km
After breakfast, enjoy a morning city tour of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will discover the riverside area, the Palacio da Bolsa and the St. Francis Church. Next stop is Guimarães. Visit the Sacred Hill and its castle, as well as the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. Continue to Braga, known as the “Portuguese Rome” for its abundance of religious architecture such as the renowned Bom Jesus do Monte pilgrimage sanctuary. Return to Porto and accommodation.
DAY 5 • Porto • Viana do Castelo • Porto • 148 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Viana do Castelo, a picturesque city where history and scenic beauty merge. Visit the Basilica of Santa Luzia, offering panoramic views over the city and the Lima River. Stroll through the historic center. Take time to explore the shops showcasing local crafts and enjoy the vibrant riverside promenade. Return to Porto and accommodation in the evening.
DAY 6 • Porto • Amarante • Vila Real • Douro Valley • Viseu • 232 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Amarante, a charming town with a bustling market known for the Blessed Gonçalo de Amarante, promoter of love and marriage. Continue to Vila Real and visit the gardens of the Palace of Mateus. You will then travel through the Douro Valley, known for its famous wines and vineyards. Stop in Regua for lunch (not included). Continue to Pinhão, the heart of the Port wine region, where the landscape of terraced vineyards is unforgettable. You will then pass by the mountainous hinterland of Viseu, central hub for the Dao wine region. Accommodation in Viseu.
DAY 7 • Viseu • Aveiro • Nazaré • Obidos • Lisbon • 356 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Aveiro, the “Venice of Portugal,” with its picturesque canals and colorful “moliceiro” boats, then savor the city’s traditional sweet, “ovos moles.” Continue to Nazaré, a traditional fishing village renowned for its giant waves and vibrant atmosphere. Take a stroll along its beach side promenade and admire the colorful fishing boats. Finally, explore Óbidos, a stunning medieval town surrounded by fortified walls. Return to Lisbon and accommodation in the evening.
DAY 8 • Lisbon • Sintra • Cabo da Roca • Cascais • Estoril • Lisbon • 94 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Sintra for a visit to the Pena Palace. Then, you will enjoy an amazing view from the westernmost point of mainland Europe (Cabo da Roca). Along the coast, you will pass by one of the most famous surfing beaches, the incredible Boca do Inferno (Hell’s mouth), the cosmopolitan Cascais and the Estoril Casino gardens. Return to Lisbon and accommodation.
DAY 9 • Lisbon • Evora • 134 km
After breakfast, depart to discover the town of Evora, a mosaic of culture, history and traditions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit some of its most important monuments: the Roman Temple, the Romanesque-Gothic cathedral, St. Francis Church, the Chapel of Bones and the University. Lunch and afternoon are at leisure. DAY 10 • Evora • Beja • Silves • Lagos • 243 km

Part of the morning is free, then depart southward toward Beja, known for its medieval castle overlooking the region, then proceeding to Silves, with its fields of orange trees and red sandstone castle. Continue to Lagos, along the golden sand beaches of the Algarve passing by Praia da Rocha. Accommodation in Lagos.
DAY 11 • Lagos • Ponta da Piedade • Sagres • Cape St. Vincent • Lagos • 80 km
Breakfast at the hotel. You will spend the day visiting the Algarve. Short stop in Ponta da Piedade to see the magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean and its erosive rocks and cliffs. Continue to Sagres, a fishing port where you will visit the Sao Vicente Fortress. Proceed along the cliffs of Cape St. Vincent, the most south-western point of mainland Europe.
