DAY 3 • Siena
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the town with an introduction to the art, architecture, and history of Siena. The guide will take you to see the main monuments and landmarks as you learn about the history of the city. The walk continues with a visit to the Cathedral, a unique example in the history of art (On Sundays, instead of the Cathedral, a museum will be visited). Afternoon and evening are at leisure. Accommodation in Siena.
DAY 4 • Siena • San Gimignano • Chianti • Montalcino • Siena • 224 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by minivan for an excursion to San Gimignano, Chianti and Montalcino. Enjoy a full day tour of Tuscany’s villages and wine regions and travel into the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Visit the town of San Gimignano and the wine territory of Chianti including a wine tasting (optional lunch: 20 euros per person, paid directly to the winery). You will also have a snack with sliced cold meat and typical salami. Return to Siena around 19:00. Accommodation in Siena.
