DAY 1 • Catania • Taormina
Arrival at Catania airport and private transfer to your hotel. The program for the week will be available at the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Accommodation in Taormina area.

DAY 2 • Taormina • Etna • Taormina
Breakfast at the hotel, then depart with your tour escort to Mount Etna, Sicily’s highest peak and Europe’s most active volcano. Travel through Etna Park, one of Italy’s largest protected areas, enjoying its diverse landscapes and vegetation. Reach the Silvestri Craters at approximately 1,900 meters, with the option to continue by jeep and cable car ($). Taste local Sicilian specialties before returning to the hotel. The rest of the day is free or take an optional walking tour of Taormina ($). Accommodation in Taormina area.

DAY 3 • Taormina • Syracuse • Taormina
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Syracuse, one of Sicily’s most important archaeological sites. Visit the Archaeological Park (optional $), including the Roman Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, Ear of Dionysius, and Cave of the Cordari, then continue to the island of Ortigia, the city’s historic heart and home to its magnificent cathedral. Accommodation in Taormina.

DAY 4 • Taormina • Forza d’Agro • Cefalu • Palermo 
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Forza D’Agrò, a charming hilltop village overlooking Taormina, famous for its role in The Godfather. Stroll through its narrow streets, admire the Durazzesco Arch and the Cathedral—site of Michael Corleone’s wedding scene—and enjoy stunning coastal views from the panoramic square. Continue to Savoca to see iconic filming locations, including the famous Bar Vitelli. Proceed to Cefalù to visit Piazza del Duomo and its magnificent mosaic-filled Cathedral, then walk along Corso Ruggero, the lively main street lined with boutiques and cafés. Depart by bus to Palermo and accommodation.

DAY 5 • Palermo • Monreale • Palermo 
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart with your guide for a tour of Monreale and Palermo. Begin in Monreale, a charming town on the slopes of Monte Caputo overlooking Palermo, and visit the magnificent Monreale Cathedral, one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in the world. Enjoy an arancina tasting before continuing to Palermo’s historic center. There, admire the Teatro Massimo, Europe’s third-largest opera house, explore the lively “U Capo” market, visit the Cathedral, and walk through the iconic Quattro Canti, with free time for shopping. Accommodation in Palermo.

DAY 6 • Palermo • Agrigento • Taormina area
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a morning drive to Agrigento to visit the Valley of the Temples. Explore the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Concordia—one of the best-preserved Doric temples in the Greek world—the Temple of Hercules, and the Temple of Castor and Pollux. Accommodation in Taormina area.

DAY 7 • Taormina 
Breakfast at the hotel. Today is at leisure to relax on a beach or take an optional excursion to visit more of the surrounding areas.
