DAY 1 • Rome
Arrival at Rome airport and transfer to the hotel. Discover the wonders of the eternal city on a Hop on Hop off panoramic bus tour (valid for one day). The bus will make eight stops with audio commentary in 12 languages. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Return to your hotel on your own. Accommodation in Rome.
DAY 2 • Rome • Assisi • Siena • Florence • 375 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up early morning at your hotel and depart for Assisi to visit the mystic town of Saint Francis surrounded by ancient fortified walls. Visit the St. Francis Basilica with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue and enjoy a lunch in Assisi. Continue towards Siena, the beautiful medieval city renowned for its Piazza del Campo and Palio Horse race. Next, proceed to Florence. Accommodation in Florence.
DAY 3 • Florence
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for a guided city tour of the beautiful Duomo, Brunelleschi’s Dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Baptistery. Admire Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Santa Croce Basilica. Lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant. Afternoon is at leisure, or you can take an optional excursion to Pisa ($). DAY 5 • Venice

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Tuscany to the medieval city of Montepulciano. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase its famous wine ‘‘Nobile’’, an emblematic Montepulciano product. Lunch in a typical local restaurant, paired with a glass of fine Tuscan wine. Continue to Rome and accommodation in Rome.
DAY 7 • Rome
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning depart for a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and its Sistine Chapel (no guide) . Discover the Galleries of Tapestries and Maps, Raphael’s Rooms and Michelangelo’s masterpiece in the Sistine Chapel. The tour will end in St. Peter’s Square. In the afternoon, explore the eternal city at your own pace. Accommodation in Rome.
DAY 8 • Rome
After breakfast, transfer to Rome airport.
