DAY 1 • Rome • Pompeii • Sorrento • 275 km
Early morning departure from Rome to Pompeii, heading South along the ‘Sun Highway’, crossing the fertile Roman countryside. Arriving in Pompeii, you will have a lunch that includes a taste of real Neapolitan pizza. After lunch, a guided visit to the archaeological site of Pompeii, a city both destroyed and preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Depart towards Sorrento. Supper and accommodation in Sorrento.
DAY 2 • Sorrento • Capri • Sorrento • 40 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the port, then depart by ferry to Capri. Upon arrival at Marina Grande in Capri, you will visit the Blue Grotto (weather and capacity permitting. Guide will suggest alternative excursions). After lunch (not included) some free time to discover the heart of the island with the famous Piazzetta. Return to the port to take the ferry and transfer to your hotel in Sorrento. Supper and accommodation in Sorrento.
DAY 3 • Sorrento • Rome 265 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure to explore Sorrento or visit the picturesque towns of Positano, Ravello or Amalfi. In the afternoon, you will take the bus back to Rome.
N.B. For technical reasons, the order of the excursions could be reversed.
