GUIDED WALKING TOUR OF DUBROVNIK

Start at the main entrance, Pile Gate to the Old City, where you will admire Dubrovnik’s medieval fortifications and its impressive stone walls. Stroll along Stradun Street, the main promenade and continue to learn about the city’s architectural monuments such as the Franciscan Monastery (exterior), the Rector’s Palace (exterior), the Cathedral of the Assumption (exterior) and the old port.

Continue through the Pelješac Peninsula, one of Croatia’s premier wine regions, known for its vineyards, olive groves, and stunning Adriatic views. Cross to Korčula Island, the reputed birthplace of Marco Polo, and explore Korčula Town, a charming medieval walled city, with the option to visit St. Mark’s Cathedral, a 15th-century Gothic-Renaissance landmark. On the return journey, stop at a local Pelješac winery for a tasting of regional wine and brandy.

THE BEST OF MONTENEGRO

Stop in Perast for 1.5 hours of free time to visit the island of Our Lady of the Rocks and its church (boat ride 10 € per person to be paid locally). Along the way, your driver will share insights into Montenegro’s key cultural landmarks, history, and legends. Arrive in Kotor (2 hours at leisure) to explore this historic town, known for its rich maritime tradition, renowned fleet, and impressive city walls. Continue along the coastline to Budva, where you’ll have another 2 hours to visit on your own. After sightseeing, meet your driver for a relaxing return drive to Dubrovnik.

MOSTAR AND THE KRAVICA WATERFALLS

Visit the Kravica Waterfall (entrance fee 10 € per person, payable locally), a stunning tufa cascade on the Trebižat River in the karst landscape of Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the summer, it is a popular spot for swimming and picnicking. Continue to Mostar, named after the medieval bridge keepers (mostari) who guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva River. This 16th-century bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the country’s most famous landmarks and a remarkable example of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. Enjoy free time in Mostar for lunch (not included) and sightseeing on your own.

SCENIC TRAIN RIDE THROUGH KONAVLE VALLEY

Discover the region of Konavle. After visiting the first wine cellar, you will ride through the region aboard a tourist train along various vineyards. Enjoy a wine tasting of the best wines from this part of Croatia and a typical lunch such as bacon, onions and hard boiled eggs, served according to the traditional folk recipe from Konavle. Past traditions are presented in the village of Ljuta where you will visit a mill to discover the flour production process, as well as wool processing, another important craft of the area.
