DAY 1 • Lisbon • Évora • 132 km
Early morning departure for Évora. Enjoy a walking tour of the city and visit important sites such as the Roman Temple, the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral, Saint Francis Church with its ‘‘Chapel of Bones’’ and the University. You will also see the market and have the opportunity to admire the diversity and authenticity of local handicrafts made with cork, ceramic and copper. Lunch and afternoon is at leisure. DAY 2 • Évora • Beja • Silves • Lagos • 243 km
Breakfast at the hotel and part of the morning is at leisure. Then, depart by bus to Beja, where stands the highest medieval castle tower in Portugal, which prevails over the town and the region. After crossing the low mountain range, you enter the Algarve. Stop in Silves, the renowned town dominated by its red sandstone castle dating back to Moorish times, and by the memories of its former cork industry. Continue to Lagos. Accommodation in Lagos.
DAY 3 • Lagos • Ponta da Piedade • Sagres • Cabo de São Vicente • Lagos • 83 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Ponta de Piedade to admire the cliffs and the magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue to Sagres, a fishing port, to visit its fortress formally home to the mythical ‘’navigation school’’, forever linked to Prince Henry the Navigator. Proceed along the cliffs to Cabo de São San Vicente, the most southwestern point of continental Europe. Return to Lagos. Afternoon is at leisure. Accommodation in Lagos.
