DAY 1 • Athens • Corinth • Nafplion • Epidaurus • Mycenae • Olympia • 316 km
Morning departure by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on to visit the theatre of Epidaurus. Proceed to Nafplion (short photo stop). Continue towards Mycenae, visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Depart for Olympia through central Peloponnese. Supper and accommodation in Olympia.
DAY 2 • Olympia • Delphi • 214 km
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Continue through the plains of Iliad and Achaia to the magnificent bridge that crosses the bay of Corinth. You will pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea before arriving in Delphi. Supper and accommodation in Delphi.
DAY 3 • Delphi • Kalambaka • 231 km
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will visit the archaeological site and the Delphi museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of Meteora. Supper and accommodation in Kalambaka.
DAY 4 • Kalambaka • Thessaloniki • 227 km
After breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a morning visit to Meteora and the Monasteries perched atop the summit of gigantic granite rocks. Then, depart to Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece, on your way, you will drive through the astonishing valley of the longest river in Greece, Aliacmon. Supper and accommodation in Thessaloniki.
DAY 5 • Thessaloniki
After breakfast at the hotel you will enjoy a guided visit of the city, discover its sites such as the White Tower, the Roman Forum, Ottoman Market, St. Demetrius’ Church, and the Byzantine Walls. The short walking tour includes the ruins from the Palace and Arch of Galerius, and a visit to the famous Rotunda (built as a temple and transformed into a church). The rest of the day is free. DAY 6 • Thessaloniki • Edessa • Naoussa • Thessaloniki • 219 km
Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Macedonia, stopping at Edessa to admire its wonderful waterfall. Continue to Naoussa to discover the history of the region. Visit the Royal Museum of Vergina, then proceed to Saint Paul’s Bema and finally take a stroll through the Jewish quarter and colorful market area. Return to Thessaloniki for supper and accommodation.
DAY 7 • Thessaloniki • Athens • 502 km
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Pella to see the mosaic floors of the 4th century B.C. villas and the new museum. Then proceed to visit the Archaeological Park of Dion at the foot of Mount Olympus. Return to Athens via Thessaly, Valley of Tempi, Lamia, Thermopylae and Thebes. Arrival in Athens early in the evening.
